Hi Barbara,

I hope everything is well with you.

A quick note about speaking about ages in English. I know in Spanish that you use the word "tener" when describing someone's age. Like "Tengo 18 anos" In English you say. "I am 18 years old" or "She is 27 years old".

Here is a little bit of information about my family.
In my family there are six of us; my mom and dad, my 3 sisters and myself. I am the oldest of the kids. My sister Amber is 30, I have two sisters (Kerri and Kelly) who are twins and they are 20 years old. My sister Amber has 1 kid (baby), my sisters who are twins have 2 kids each. I don't have any kids/children….That I know of ja ja ;D

I have been dating my girlfriend for almost 5 years. She was born in Puebla, but has been living in Chicago for 25+years.

Currently I am working in the state of Mississippi; so I am about 900 miles (1440 km) from my girlfriend. I am working about 2.5 hours from the city New Orleans.

As far as places I have spent some time in the United States, I've been to Washington DC, Florida, Houston, Dallas, San Diego, LA, Portland Oregon, New Orleans and various places in between.

In Mexico, I have been to Mexicali of course, Rosaritto, Ensenada, TJ, Puerta Penasco, and D.F.

How old am I? Let's see, I guess I am 34 years old. My friends in Mexicali used to call me "Viejo Sangron" because when I was working in Mexicali I was 27 years old and they were all 22 and 23 years old.

If you asked my friends how I am as a person, they would probably say that "Bryon is smart." They would also say that Bryon likes to "crack" jokes and is pretty funny. They would also say that Bryon is a "study bug" (someone who studies or reads all of the time). I am not much of a sports person. I like to go out with my friends, or a least I used to. My friends have always been girls, ever since I was in high school. When I was in college, my roommates were girls. In Mexicali 100% of my friends were girls. Now, that I have girl friend I don't see or hang out with my friends that much. I also like my alone time. I really enjoy going to Starbucks, drinking coffee, and reading a good book.

My favorite music: Wow, that is a tough one. I would say that I like the groups that played when I was in college, so that would be bands like Nirvana, Green Day, Pearl Jam. I also like newer alternative music like POD and finger eleven.

I also like listening to Spanish music. I like the music of Arjona, Reik, Reyli, NEK, Moenia, Shakira, and of course Mana. I have been to see the following latin group/singers in concert. I saw OV7 at fiestas del sol in 2000. I saw Nicho at a bar in Mexicali. I've seen Arjona and Luis Miguel in concert in Chicago. I want very badly to see Shakira in concert some time. I think mainly because through her songs I learned a lot of Spanish.

Ok well I am going to let you go for now. Good luck with your project. So far you seem to be doing well. I haven't had any problem understanding what you have written. If you are having trouble understanding anything I have written let me know and I will try to help you.

Te cuidates y Buena suerte con tu proyecto.

-Bryon
